St.Vincent and the Grenadines is an archipelago of 32 islands in the Caribbean Sea . Although the island chain is at the growth stage of its tourism industry, its beauty and unique tourism offering has earned it the coveted title of "World's Best Caribbean Island Destination" in Travel and Leisure Magazine's 2004 World Best Awards .
With the ministry's mission to promote the country as a diverse, globally competitive one, a number of projects undertaken by the private and public sectors have been developed to help improve the tourism product.
Although the tourism product of St.Vincent and the Grenadines is very diverse, there is a significant focus on upscale tourism.

St.Vincent and the Grenadines already hosts the Mustique Co. on the Grenadine island of Mustique . This is the oldest and most successful private investment project in the Caribbean .
The world renowned Raffles Resort and Amrita Spa opened in 2004 on the idyllic Grenadine island of Canouan . The resort is part of a private 1200 acre development which includes an 18 hole golf course designed by Jim Fazio and an European Style Casino – Trump Club Privee. This resort will also see a million dollar plus villa development to be managed by New York real estate baron, Donald Trump.
